Security management for ports, warehouses and logistics yards
A port terminal or distribution centre means a long fence, gates taking trucks day and night, and guards spread across open yards. Yaqiz links the gatehouse, the yard and the control room: guards log every vehicle and visitor and prove night patrols with GPS-checked QR checkpoints in an Android app, raise SOS from it, and the web console follows them on a live map.
A gate log for trucks, drivers and contractors
Start from the built-in visitor types (Person, Vehicle, Contractor, Delivery) and add the fields your gate needs, such as car plate, company or a Goods list with quantity and unit, each asked on entry, on exit or both.
- Each walk-in gets a printed QR card from your company's stock, and the guard can close the visit only by scanning it again on exit.
- Expected visitors get a QR pass by email, as a link or as a PDF to print, or in a ready-made WhatsApp message your staff send.
- If a driver is on your do-not-admit list, the guard app shows "Do not admit", and only the control room can grant a one-time exception.
Night patrols across yards, warehouses and fence lines
Place QR checkpoints along the fence, at the quay and on warehouse doors, each with its real GPS position and an allowed distance you set. Night windows can cross midnight. The app records a scan only when the phone is within that distance and its location is not flagged as fake. Photos for optional checklists are camera-only.
- Weak signal at the far berths? Scans are saved on the phone and sent when the guard next opens Patrols with a connection.
- On-duty guards get a reminder before each round, at a lead time you set per route, and at its start if not begun. Supervisors are notified of rounds missed, not started on time or finished incomplete.
Every guard on a large site, on one live map
Draw the terminal or warehouse boundary on the satellite map. Guards clock in only inside it (with a 50 m allowance around its edge), within their shift window, with a photo taken in the app. On duty, the app sends a position about every 25 m moved or every 90 seconds standing still, so supervisors see each guard on the live map and can open their track.
- Outside the boundary: the guard sees a banner, and after 3 minutes outside, supervisors are notified.
- No position for 5 minutes: a "Location lost" alert goes out, and at 15 minutes the guard is suspended and the shift closed.
SOS for a guard alone at the far end of the yard
The guard double-taps SOS and, after a 5-second countdown they can cancel, the alert reaches the staff assigned or rostered at the site and the dispatchers covering it, with the guard's position when the phone has one. Colleagues hear a siren, tap "I'm on my way" and see each other on a live map. Without signal, the alert is saved and sent automatically, keeping the time it was pressed if it goes out within 24 hours.
- The walkie-talkie sends recorded push-to-talk voice clips of up to 30 seconds on each site's Main channel or on custom channels, such as one for the gate team.
Incidents and reports for every site
Guards report theft, intrusion, vandalism, fire or suspicious activity with up to 10 camera photos, and the console follows each incident from Open to Resolved with an assignee and a timeline. Reports on visitors, patrol rounds, checkpoint visits, attendance, incidents and SOS alerts export as a branded PDF, some also as Excel or CSV. Supervisors see only their assigned sites, and shifts and patrols follow each site's own time zone.
Visitor management, patrols, shifts and attendance, presence check-ins, live tracking, SOS, the walkie-talkie, incidents, the Reports page, attendance export to Excel or CSV, and your logo and colours on reports each depend on your plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which ID documents can the app read at the gate?
The Egyptian national ID card, the Egyptian driving licence, and passports, which are read from their machine-readable lines. Scanning works in the Android guard app and the Yaqiz Admin app, fills in the number and name for checking, and is not available in a web browser.
Our yards have weak signal. What keeps working?
Patrol scans and checklist answers with their photos, SOS alerts, presence check-in answers and location positions are saved on the phone and sent later. Clocking in and out, registering visitors at the gate, incident reports and the walkie-talkie need a connection.
Does Yaqiz connect to barriers, CCTV or plate-reading cameras?
No. There is no integration with barriers, turnstiles, CCTV or number-plate recognition; the guard types the plate.
