Hospital security management for gates, floors and night rounds
A hospital never closes. Relatives arrive at all hours, suppliers and maintenance crews come and go, and night guards cover wards, basements and car parks alone. Yaqiz gives hospital security teams a web console for the office and an Android app for the guard, so every visit, patrol round, shift and emergency is on record for the people responsible.
Hospital visitor management at the gate
In the guard app, the guard registers each walk-in under a visitor type and links a printed QR visitor card. At the gate, the guard closes the visit only by scanning that card on the way out, and 'On site now' lists every visit still open.
- Your own visitor types, such as patient visitors, contractors and deliveries, each with its own fields.
- QR passes sent ahead by email or link to expected suppliers and contractors; the guard scans them at the gate.
- The phone camera reads the number and name from Egyptian national IDs, Egyptian driving licences and passports (Android apps only); lists show only the last 4 digits of an ID number, and only to roles allowed to see them.
- Anyone the hospital has banned shows as “Do not admit” at the gate; the guard cannot register them, and a single exception is the control room's call.
Hospital security patrols on every floor
Add the hospital's floors, basements included, and pin QR checkpoints on the floor plans where they matter: the pharmacy store, the medical-gas and generator rooms, the fire exits. Save each checkpoint's real location on the map or by scanning it on the spot from a phone, then group checkpoints into timed routes, overnight rounds included, and assign the guards.
The guard scans checkpoints in any order. Before recording a scan, the app checks the guard is within the checkpoint's allowed distance, then opens its checklist if it has one, with items such as 'Fire door closed' and a camera photo where you require one. Skipping needs a written reason.
- Alarm-style reminders on the on-duty guard's phone before each round, and again at its start if it hasn't begun.
- Ward and basement rounds that are missed, not started on time or finished incomplete raise a notification for the supervisors of that hospital.
A panic button for hospital guards, and incident reports
Tension in the emergency department, or a guard alone on a floor at night: a double-tap on SOS starts a 5-second countdown that can be cancelled, then alerts the control room and the staff assigned to the hospital site. Colleagues' phones sound a siren and show who needs help and how far away; they answer 'I'm on my way' and appear on a live map. With no signal, the alert is saved on the phone and sent automatically later.
Anything less urgent becomes an incident report with a type such as Theft, Medical or Fire, a severity, a description and up to 10 camera photos, which you assign and follow to Resolved.
Round-the-clock shifts with photo and GPS attendance
Build weekly shifts, overnight shifts included. A guard can clock in only inside the hospital's boundary and within the shift window, and every clock-in carries a live photo and a GPS position. Supervisors are notified of late clock-ins, and a guard who never clocked in is reported absent once the shift ends.
For guards alone at night, turn on presence check-ins for their shift: the phone asks 'Are you OK?' at the interval you set, with a selfie every few check-ins. Three misses in a row suspend the guard and alert the supervisors.
Patrols, visitor management, SOS, incident reporting, shifts and attendance, presence check-ins and reports each depend on your plan.
Frequently asked questions
Can we run several hospitals in one account?
Yes. A hospital group adds each hospital as a separate site with its own boundary, floors and checkpoints; supervisors work only with the hospitals assigned to them, and a role that can see all sites covers the whole group.
Does the location check work inside the hospital building?
You set each checkpoint's allowed distance to suit the building. GPS confirms the guard is near the checkpoint, not which floor they are on, and a wider distance accepts a less precise fix, which helps indoors. If the check keeps failing, the guard can skip the checkpoint with a written reason, shown on the round's record.
What works without a network?
SOS alerts, patrol scans and checklists, presence check-in answers and on-duty positions (when your plan includes live tracking) are saved on the phone and sent later. Clocking in, sending an incident report and registering a visitor all need the phone to be online at that moment.
Which reports can the hospital administration get?
Patrol rounds, Checkpoint visits, Attendance, Visitors, Incidents and SOS alerts as a branded PDF; attendance, patrols and visitors also as Excel or CSV, depending on your plan and permissions.
