Construction site security, from the fence line to the gate
A construction site changes every week, empties at night and takes trucks and subcontractors all day. With Yaqiz, the site office works in a web console and every guard carries an Android app built for that churn: QR checkpoint patrols that check where the guard stands, a gate log for deliveries and subcontractors, photo clock-in inside the site boundary, and an SOS button for the guard alone at night.
Guard tour patrols on a site that keeps changing
Draw the site boundary on a satellite map and edit it as the work spreads. Add floors as the structure rises and pin QR checkpoints where theft usually happens: the fence, the material store, the generator. A checkpoint's exact position can be saved by standing at it and scanning its card from a phone browser.
- Night security patrols that cross midnight, with reminders ringing on the guard's phone before each round starts.
- A scan counts only when GPS puts the guard within the checkpoint's allowed distance. Scans made in a dead spot are saved on the phone and sent later, once there is signal.
A gate and delivery log for trucks, suppliers and subcontractors
Start from the ready-made Contractor, Delivery and Vehicle visitor types. Add a Car plate field and a Goods field (item, quantity, unit, note), asked on check-in, on check-out or both, so what each truck brings in or takes out stays in the visit record. The guard links each walk-in to a printed QR card and can close the visit only by scanning that card again on exit.
- An Egyptian driving licence or national ID card, or a passport, is read on the phone to fill in the number and name (in the Android apps only, not the web console).
- Anyone on your do-not-admit list is stopped at the gate; only the control room can allow a one-time exception.
A guard alone on the night shift
Clock-in is accepted only inside the site boundary and the shift window, and every clock-in carries a photo taken on the spot and a GPS position.
- For the guard left alone on site overnight, presence check-ins ring with “Are you OK?” at the interval you choose; if three go unanswered in a row, the guard is taken off duty and supervisors are alerted.
- If someone climbs the fence at night, the guard double-taps SOS; after five seconds in which they can still cancel, the colleagues assigned to the site and the control room are alerted. With no signal, the alert waits on the phone and sends when the connection returns.
- With live tracking, supervisors are alerted when a guard stays outside the site boundary for 3 minutes.
Incidents, reports and several projects at once
Guards report theft, vandalism, intrusion, fire or a safety hazard with a severity level and up to 10 camera photos, and the incident moves from Open to In progress to Resolved, with a timeline of every change. The Reports page exports attendance, patrol rounds, checkpoint visits, visitors and incidents as a branded PDF, plus Excel or CSV for attendance and patrols.
Each project is its own site with its own boundary, shifts and local time, and supervisors see only the sites assigned to them. Every new site also gets a Main walkie-talkie channel for recorded push-to-talk voice clips between phones and the console, with no handsets to buy.
Shifts and attendance, patrols, visitors, presence check-ins, live tracking, SOS, the walkie-talkie, incidents, reports, attendance in Excel or CSV, and your logo and colours on reports each depend on your plan.
Frequently asked questions
Does the guard app work where the site has weak signal?
Partly. The phone saves four things and sends them once there is a connection again: patrol scans (on routes it opened online earlier), presence check-in answers, SOS alerts and on-duty position updates. Saved patrol work goes out with the next scan, or when the guard opens or refreshes Patrols. Clock-in and clock-out, the gate, incident reports and the walkie-talkie need a connection.
Can we record building materials leaving the site on trucks?
Yes. Add a Goods field to the Delivery or Vehicle type and set it to appear on check-out. The guard lists the items before closing the visit, and they stay in its record, with the car plate if you added that field too.
What if the night guard stops responding?
With presence check-ins on for the shift, three misses in a row suspend the guard, end their shift and alert the supervisors. With live tracking, a “Location lost” alert also goes out after 5 minutes without a position update.
Can the project manager follow from a phone?
Yes. The Yaqiz Admin Android app carries the same console, including the live map, SOS alerts and reports you can share from the phone, for the managers you allow to sign in.
