Residential compound security, from the main gate to the night rounds

A residential compound or gated community lives at its gate: guests, deliveries and contractors all day, then a long night along the walls. Yaqiz gives your security office a web console and each guard an Android app, so every visitor is recorded in and out, every patrol is logged checkpoint by checkpoint, and late clock-ins reach your supervisors.

Visitor management at the compound gate

When a resident expects a guest, your security office invites them with a time window and Yaqiz issues a QR pass that it emails to the guest, or that you print or send in a WhatsApp message from your own WhatsApp. The guard's scan shows whether it is valid, expired or cancelled. Walk-ins get a printed visitor card from your card stock, scanned again at exit to close the visit.

  • A do-not-admit list stops listed people at the gate, unless the control room grants a one-time exception.
  • Add a Goods field to a visitor type, filled in at check-out, to record what contractors and movers take out.
  • On Android, the guard app and Yaqiz Admin read an Egyptian national ID or driving licence, or a passport, and fill in the number and name for review.

Night guard tours around walls, villas and shared facilities

Place QR checkpoints on the perimeter wall, the back gate, the pool, the clubhouse and the generator room, and group them into routes with time windows. Night rounds can run past midnight, from 23:00 to 05:00 for example. Assigned guards on duty get an alarm-style reminder before each round. A scan counts only when the phone's GPS places the guard within the distance you allow for that checkpoint. A checklist can require a camera photo, for example one showing the back gate locked. Supervisors are notified of missed and incomplete rounds.

Guards on post, on time and inside the walls

Draw the compound's boundary on the satellite map: guards clock in only inside it, with 50 m allowed for phone GPS error, within the shift's time window and with a live photo. Supervisors hear of late clock-ins and, once a shift ends, absences. With live tracking, on-duty guards appear on a map, and a guard outside the boundary for 3 minutes triggers an out-of-zone alert. For a lone guard at a back gate overnight, presence check-ins ask "Are you OK?" at the interval you set; three misses in a row suspend the guard from duty and alert supervisors.

When trouble starts at the gate

If a visitor turns aggressive, the guard double-taps SOS. A 5-second countdown allows a cancel, then the alert goes out with the guard's position when the phone has one. Colleagues assigned to the compound hear a siren and can answer "I'm on my way", while the control room follows them on a live map. Less urgent matters, such as a vandalised car or a water leak, go in as an incident report with camera photos, and the gate team stays in touch on the walkie-talkie: push-to-talk voice clips.

Visitor management, patrols, attendance, live tracking, presence check-ins, SOS, incidents and the walkie-talkie each depend on your plan.

Frequently asked questions

Can residents invite their own guests?

Not directly: your security office sends the invitation from the console or the Yaqiz Admin Android app. Visitors need no app; the QR pass opens as a page on their phone.

Does Yaqiz open the barrier or connect to cameras?

No. It doesn't control barriers, turnstiles or cameras, and the guard types the car plate. Yaqiz records the visit and shows the guard a clear verdict; opening the barrier stays with your team.

What works where the signal is weak?

Patrol scans, SOS alerts, presence check-in answers and guard positions wait on the phone and send later. Clocking in or out, gate check-ins and check-outs, and incident reports need a connection.

We run several compounds. Can supervisors see only theirs?

Yes. Each compound is a site, and supervisors see only their assigned sites unless their role covers every site. The do-not-admit list is shared by all your compounds.
