School and university security, from the gate to the last night patrol
A school or university gate is busy by day with parents, staff, contractors and delivery drivers, and the campus is almost empty at night. Yaqiz runs your security team's work in one system: a gate log of who came in and who let them in, night patrols proven by a QR scan and a GPS check, clock-in with a photo, and an SOS that reaches colleagues on site.
A visitor management system for the school gate
Register a parent, contractor or delivery driver from the web console, or from the guard's Android app, which links each walk-in to a printed QR visitor card from your card pool. Expected visitors, such as an exam invigilator, are invited in advance and receive a QR pass by email or link, or printed. At the gate, a visit closes only when the pass or card is scanned again.
- You can require office approval by role: the guard's request arrives in 'Gate requests', and a yes completes the registration by itself.
- If a visitor is on the do-not-admit list, the guard sees 'Do not admit' and cannot register them; only the control room can grant a one-time exception.
- Add a visitor type for parents, with the fields and questions your school needs.
Night patrols with QR checkpoints, after the last class
Add each site's floors with their plans, pin QR checkpoints on the plans and give each one its location on the map, then group them into patrol routes with night windows that can cross midnight. The guard scans checkpoints in any order, and the app records a scan only when GPS places the guard at the checkpoint. A checkpoint's checklist can ask 'Lab door locked?' or 'Fire exit clear of obstructions?', and can ask for a photo taken with the phone camera.
- Scans made where there is no signal are saved on the phone and sent later, once there is a connection.
- Supervisors are notified when a round is missed, not started on time or finished incomplete.
- On-duty guards get alarm-style reminders on their phone before a round is due, and again if it hasn't started on time.
Guards on campus, on time, and checked on at night
Build weekly shifts for each school or campus. A guard can clock in only on their shift, from inside the site boundary, and with a photo taken by the camera at that moment. Campus supervisors are told about a late clock-in at once, and about a guard who never arrived once the shift is over.
For a guard alone on campus at night, presence check-ins ask 'Are you OK?' at the interval you set for the shift; after 3 misses in a row the guard is suspended, their shift is closed and supervisors are alerted. With live tracking, on-duty guards appear on the live map, and 3 minutes outside the site zone raises an alert.
When something happens on campus
A double-tap on the guard's SOS button starts a 5-second countdown that can be cancelled, then alerts colleagues at the site and the control room, with the guard's position when the phone can find one. Responders tap 'I'm on my way', and their positions show on a live map until the alert is closed with a reason, or for 60 minutes at most.
Guards also file incident reports with a type such as Medical, Fire or Vandalism, a severity and up to 10 camera photos. The walkie-talkie sends push-to-talk voice clips on each site's channel.
Visitor management, patrols, shifts and attendance, presence check-ins, live tracking, SOS, incident reporting and the walkie-talkie each depend on your plan.
Frequently asked questions
Does Yaqiz track students or take their attendance?
No. Yaqiz is for the security team: guards, the gate, visitors, patrols and alerts. It has no student attendance and no parent app.
We run several schools or campuses. Is one system enough?
Yes, one account is enough: every school or campus is drawn on the map with its own patrol routes, and a campus supervisor works only with the campus assigned to them.
Can IDs be scanned in the browser?
No. In the web console, the details are typed in. ID reading is in the two Android apps, the guard app and Yaqiz Admin, on phones with Android 8.0 or newer and a 64-bit processor. They read Egyptian national ID cards, Egyptian driving licences and passports and fill in the number and name for review. Lists show no more than the last 4 ID digits.
What if part of the campus has no signal?
Patrol scans, checklist answers and SOS alerts are saved on the phone and sent later, once there is a connection. A presence check-in answered without signal is saved too, but it counts only if it arrives within the answer window plus up to an hour; after that it is recorded as missed. The gate and clock-in need a connection.
