Factory security management: patrols, the gate and shifts in one system
A manufacturing plant is hard to guard: a long fence, warehouses and production halls to check at night, and a gate that trucks, contractors and deliveries pass through all day. Yaqiz gives your security office a web console, also available as the Yaqiz Admin Android app, and gives each guard an Android app for patrols, the gate and clock-in.
Night patrols along the fence, warehouses and production halls
Place QR checkpoints on floor plans and on the map: fence corners, warehouse doors, the generator room, the loading yard. Group them into routes with time windows, days and guards, night rounds past midnight included. Assigned on-duty guards get an alarm-style reminder before each window, at a lead time you set per route, and again at the start if the round has not begun.
- A scan counts only if the guard's GPS position is within the checkpoint's allowed distance and not flagged as fake.
- Your own checklist per checkpoint, such as “Warehouse door locked”, with camera-only photos.
- If a night round is missed, not started on time or finished incomplete, the supervisors covering the plant are notified in the console and by push.
The factory gate: trucks, contractors and deliveries
Start from the ready-made Person, Vehicle, Contractor and Delivery visitor types and choose what each asks, in, out or both: car plate, company, host or a goods list. Asked both ways, the goods list reopens at the exit with what arrived, so the guard records what actually leaves.
- Invited suppliers get a QR gate pass by email or link, walk-ins a QR card from your card stock, and at the gate the guard closes a visit only by scanning the pass or card again.
- The guard app and Yaqiz Admin read an Egyptian national ID card or driving licence, or a passport, to fill in the number and name for review (Android 8.0 or newer, 64-bit).
- A banned contractor or driver shows as “Do not admit” with the reason on file; the guard can only turn them away or ask the control room for a one-time exception.
Guard attendance on every shift
Draw the factory boundary on the map and build weekly shifts with a grace period, night shifts included. Clock-in works only inside the boundary (with 50 metres allowed for phone GPS error), during the shift window and with a live photo, so every clock-in carries a time, a GPS position and a photo.
- At shift change, the office follows Live attendance: who is on duty, late, not yet clocked in or absent, updated every 30 seconds.
- A late clock-in at the plant reaches its supervisors straight away, and a guard who never came is reported absent after the shift.
- An attendance report with fixed columns, exported as Excel or CSV for your payroll team to import.
A lone guard at night, and incidents on the record
Turn on presence check-ins for a night shift and the phone asks “Are you OK?” at the interval you set, with a selfie every so many check-ins. Three misses in a row take the guard off duty and alert supervisors.
- SOS: a double-tap and a 5-second countdown send the alert, with the guard's position if the phone has one, and colleagues working at that site hear a siren on their phones.
- Incident reports with a type such as Fire or Safety hazard, a severity and up to 10 camera photos, worked on a board until resolved.
- Attendance, patrol, visitor, incident and SOS reports export as a PDF carrying your company name.
Attendance, patrols, visitor management, presence check-ins, SOS, incident reporting, the Reports page and attendance export to Excel and CSV each depend on your plan.
Frequently asked questions
Does the guard app need signal everywhere in the plant?
Not for patrols, once the guard has opened Patrols with signal so the routes are saved on the phone: scans, checklist answers and photos wait there and are sent when Patrols is next opened or refreshed online. An SOS raised without signal is saved and sent automatically. Clock-in, the gate and incident reports need a connection, and a presence check-in needs one to reach the phone, though the answer to one already on screen is saved and still counts if it arrives within the answer window plus up to an hour.
Does Yaqiz connect to turnstiles or cameras?
No. It runs on Android phones and in a web browser, with no link to access-control hardware, CCTV or other plant systems.
Can one account cover the factory and its warehouses?
Yes. Each location is its own site with its own boundary, checkpoints and routes, and supervisors see only the sites assigned to them unless you give them access to all sites.
